MULTICAM 5000 SERIES high technology introduced by Pérez Camps

Pérez Camps, distributor of materials and engraving, milling and cutting machines, presents a flexible and compact milling machine by Multicam, its design turns it to a robust CNC router able to face, according to the company, heavy milling work, optimizing production time and favouring manufacturing development.

Optionally, automathic tool change can be added to the system as a feature, which optimizes the process by taking a shorter route to get to the desired store position.

Also, the system includes MCG Servo motors and servo drivers Teknic's Sst, high performance servocontrol systems which allow control in real time of all the system functions. In addition, the drilling head with multiple bits, by Benz trade mark, simplifies drilling repetition task, asserts the company.

On the other hand, the software provided with the machine brings an added value to the system, as it includes a task previsualizator , according to Pérez Camps, which helps to visualize what the machine will do before it actually starts with the process. The company also emphasizes the piece 'nesting' option for using plates automathically, to proceed later on with the coupling programming for cutting. With the automathic 'nesting' it is only necessary to select the pieces, the quantity, the minimum separation between them and the plate formats to be placed, and the system will place them automacically.

Finally, Pérez Camps points out that ,for those of you who are starting, this is a very effective tool against possible design errors, and for those of you who are experienced, this tool allows you to check your work and optimize it before executing it by showing a graphic representation of it.

WALDES USES G400 FOBA LASER FOR BEING THE REFERENCE IN BUTTONS

Since 1928 'Waldes Industries' deals with the engraving of metal accessories in the neighbourhood of Poblenou in Barcelona, but now its owners want to start a new life with the opening of a new laser process, which has to allow the company to remain as a reference in the manufacturing of all sorts of metallic buttons.

The adoption of laser has meant a step forward in technology, which, apart from allowing a much more higher definition in the engraving process, it also gives the possibility to create designs which before would have seemed impossible to obtain.

Laser technology allows to considerably shorten engraving time, and a group of tasks that previously would have required a couple of days work to do, they now can be done in 40 minutes. Thus delivery time of engraved items can be reduced down to two days. That is the key in the textile world to competitively confront big costumers.

In the textile sector and sub-sectors, one has to always bear in mind the 'China effect'. Waldes also suffers the consequences of Chinesse importations, and the only option available is to carry on is to elevate quality standards and constantly nourish the market with new accessories.
